Dishwasher

We are looking for a dishwasher to clean, and put away dishes. The Kitchen is to be kept organized and easily accessible for servers and cooks to clean dishes.

Their duties include prioritizing loads of different types of kitchenware, hand-washing dishes, loading the dishwasher and placing dishes to dry. It is their responsibility to ensure that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses.

Responsibilities:

• Washing dishes: Washing dishes by hand or with a dishwasher, including delicate items
• Keeping the kitchen clean: Maintaining a clean and organized dish area, and sweeping and mopping floors
• Setting up stations: Setting up dish stations, including sinks and dish machines, before meal prep
• Storing dishes: Storing clean dishes, glasses, and equipment in their proper places
• Stocking areas: Stocking serving stations, cupboards, and refrigerators with dishes and utensils
• Cleaning equipment: Cleaning and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools
• Trash removal: Collecting, removing, and sorting trash, compost, and recycling
• Other duties: Preparing food as needed, and performing other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

· Ability to work with people as a productive team member.

· Thorough knowledge of food service standards, controls, sanitation, operation and maintenance of kitchen

· Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and through written communications.

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and Holidays

· Must be well organized and take initiative.

Physical Requirements:

· Stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.

· Must be able to work in warm temperatures.

· Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far.

· Must speak in a clear, understandable voice and hear at a basic level, and understand English.

· Must be able to bend, stretch arms overhead and lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds.
