What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pool Bartender position at The Chattooga Club?
The Chattooga Club is seeking an individual to fulfill our bartender lead position at the pool bar and grill. The selected candidate is to support the requests of members, manage and anticipate the beverage and dining needs of members and guests in the pool bar, as well as help maintain the pool deck operations.

Hourly Rate: $20.00
- Proven and customer service
- Proficient in using POS systems, JONAS.
- Strong time management and sales skills
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices
- Sets up bar and patio for dining service
- Stock wine, beer, liquor and perform side work to ensure speedy service
- Follows all appropriate steps of service
- Provides immediate attention to all members and guest upon arrival to bar.
- Greetings members by name when able
- Distributes food and wine menus and able to answer questions
- Performs all services needed to enable an excellent dining experience (take orders, suggest/up-sells food and beverage items)
- Places order with kitchen, informs cooks about any special cooking instructions and/or allergies.
- Check back to ensure member and guest satisfactions; replenishes any needed items
- Keeps bar clean and organized
- Knowledgeable about breakfast, lunch and dinner menu; knows wine by the glass and specialty cocktails by heart as well is able to suggest and answer questions about all liquor, wine and cocktails
- Thanks to the members and guest for visiting the club
- Consistently follows all club policies and procedures
- Cleaning debris from pool water.
- Will help with set up and break down any events that are being held at CPG.
- Enforce safety rules around pool area.
- Keeping the pool deck and pavilion space clean and safe for members and children.
- Be prepared to work collaboratively to solve problems.
- Aids with close-down procedures i.e. straightening pool furniture, cleaning restrooms, and stocking supplies.
Commit to providing a safe and orderly environment for the members and children at the pool.
- Arriving on time. Give at least a 24-hour notification to the CPG Manager if you are unable to come in.
- Flexible schedule between May and August. Available on weekends.
- Request don’t demand. Be ready not just to provide information, but to listen to members and their needs.
Staff should not be on their phones during working hours unless it is an emergency.
Always use a respectful and polite tone.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
