Responsibilities:
Menu Development & Innovation:
- Create and update seasonal menus, ensuring a diverse range of offerings that meet the restaurant's theme and customer preferences.
- Develop special menus for events, holidays, and promotions.
- Maintain a balance between creativity and cost-efficiency in menu design.
Kitchen Management & Operations:
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.
- Implement and maintain inventory controls, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Leadership & Staff Development:
- Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks.
- Foster a positive and collaborative kitchen culture, promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 3 years in an executive chef or head chef role.
- Education: Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Skills: Strong leadership, menu development, and financial management skills. Proficiency in culinary techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
