The Cold Prep prepares to serve all cold foods and deserts, and daily set up of the salad bar. We are seeking a very special candidate for this important role! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of all salads, desserts, hot pastries, dinner rolls and cold food items for all residents.
- Responsible for following daily production sheets and using standardized recipes in preparing food. Assist in preparing garnishes for plate presentation.
- Assist on serving line and setting up buffet as needed.
- Responsible for setting up salad and dessert bar.
- Maintains high standards of quality food production and maintains cleanliness of buffet at all times Responsible for routine cleaning of food prep areas and proper sanitation techniques.
- Assist in preparation and set-up of special functions.
- Maintains proper storage and labeling of all food used and utilize leftovers as directed.
- Assist in cleaning of walk-in refrigerator as needed.
- Participate in continuing educational training programs to promote culinary skills in preparing salads, desserts, and cold food items.
- Responsible for setting up and restocking buffet with desserts, salads, and condiments.
- Responsible for attending in-service training
- Proper personal appearance and hygiene according to established procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
