What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floater Teacher position at The Chestnut Treehouse?
Duties
- Develop and implement by lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the curriculum
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Utilize various teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of students' attendance, grades, and behavior
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Complete all required trainings to upload to GaPDS
```Qualifications```
* Preferred* - Bachelors Degree
*Preferred* - Valid teaching certification/license
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting (preschool, daycare, or special education experience is a plus)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of child welfare and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
