Job Description :
Cboe Clear U.S. is a subsidiary of Cboe Global Markets and operates as a CFTC-regulated Derivatives Clearing Organization approved to clear futures and fully-collateralized swaps. The Senior Risk Analyst role is within the clearinghouse's Risk Management department and will report to the Chief Risk Officer in support of the department's financial and enterprise risk management efforts. As a Senior Risk Analyst, you will complete reviews to ensure the clearinghouse only admits clearing members and settlement banks that meet its participation requirements and continue to meet those requirements on an on-going basis. Similarly, you will support the department's enterprise risk management efforts by ensuring the necessary reviews of vendors are completed by different departments and the results of those reviews indicate the vendors are reasonably expected to perform at the standards required by the underlying business processes. Finally, you will continually assess the Risk Management department's current processes and capabilities, recommend enhancements as they are identified, and lead efforts to implement them.
Key Responsibilities :
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of counterparty applicants and their compliance with clearinghouse rules and other regulatory requirements to determine whether they should be admitted for membership.
- Complete ongoing assessments of counterparties' audited and unaudited financial statements, risk management policies and procedures, as well as operational capabilities to identify any concerning trends or deficiencies.
- Review daily internal reporting to identify and escalate when the clearinghouse's exposure to clearing members exceeds internal thresholds and may require enhanced monitoring and / or margin charges.
- Promptly review alerts generated by the clearinghouse's internal intraday monitoring system, determine the appropriate escalation, contact clearing members to obtain additional information and recommend additional action as appropriate to department management.
- Collaborate with quantitative risk management staff to develop additional reporting to support the on-going monitoring of clearing members.
- Support business development efforts with existing and potential clearing members to represent the clearinghouse's risk management capabilities and methodologies.
- Document testing of enhancements to internal systems as a part of code releases and system change notifications to regulators.
- Understand the vendor risk management function within the clearinghouse and serve as a second line risk management function to ensure the required reviews are completed in a timely manner and identify when vendors may not be able to support the associated business processes based on the processes' recovery time objectives.
- Support remediation efforts related to regulatory or internal audit findings and observations in a timely manner.
- Identify improvements to the risk function based on insights and findings observed during the execution of responsibilities.

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $87,550-$108,150. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time.
