The Data Analyst, is responsible for processing data into comprehensive reports, aiming to produce information that is accessible to different departments in the authority. This position is responsible for data analysis of complex data systems and documenting data elements, data flow, relationships and dependencies to support the business needs of the authority
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Creation & Refactoring of SQL Stored Procedures.
· SQL Open Query Modifications for ySQL (Yardi Internal Scripting)
· Ability to Manage & Update Fresh Service Ticketing System
· SSRS Paginated Report Updates. (Data Source Dataset Updates via Stored Procedures)
· Design, Develop, Test, and Deploy reports for Power BI development and administration.
· Develop automated and reusable routines for extracting requested information from database systems.
· Creation and management of Power BI Server Semantic Models & Architecture.
· Compile detailed reports using data reporting tools [Power BI, Crystal Reports, SSRS & SQL]
· Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly.
· Skilled in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
· Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data into informative visuals and reports for Business Intelligence.
· Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation.
· Experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI and able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
· Work in partnership with business analysts, application architect, application developers to build data transactions and warehousing systems.
· Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning, prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.
· Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, with a minimum of five (5) years hands-on experience with SSMS / SSRS/ Power BI. Master’s Degree is a plus. Must have extensive knowledge in SQL Development to understand underlying data structures. Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server, familiar with one or more database query languages, such as SQL Stored Procedures or Equivalent. Must be able to collaborate with management, users, peers, and other stakeholders to identify report requirements, user and technical requirements, solution designs, technical architecture, and delivery in accordance with the CHA reporting specification. Must have excellent verbal, oral and written communication skills, organizational and documentation skills, and be able to interface with developers, management and other ITS personnel to effectively communicate knowledge to audiences of diverse technical abilities. Able to demonstrate complex and quantitative problem-solving skills and the ability to come up with quick and creative solutions. Strong customer service skills and a thorough knowledge of relational database theory and practice. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with data systems teams, and Tableau and GIS experience is a plus. Enthusiastic & driven to learn Yardi Reporting.
