Job Description
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Provides shipping & receiving services and performs warehouse support services in compliance with contractual policies and procedures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verify and process incoming and outgoing materials; complete all required forms, paperwork and logs related to pickups and deliveries;

Unload and unpack all deliveries to ERDC-Champaign Site, verify the quantity of items received are accurate and in accordance with bills of lading and/or shipping invoices for that shipment;

Maintain a log of deliveries for all goods;

Deliver supplies to individual offices as requested within one (1) working day of receipt;

Apply barcodes to each individual equipment item within one (1) working day after receipt;

Serve as a central receiving and rerouting point for all ERDC-Champaign Site invoices;

Process accounts payable inquiries from within and outside ERDC-Champaign Site within one (1) working day, including but not limited to inquiries regarding purchases of research services and equipment.

Process all contract vouchers.

Maintain consistent communication with vendors.

Maintain up-to-date files including contract balance information.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma, or equivalent in experience, required;

Computer proficiency required, with ability to function in database, email, and Internet environments

2 years of warehouse/shipping and receiving operations experience preferred;

Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs. and maneuver heavier loads using provided equipment;
