We are currently looking for a Full Time Child Protective Services Manager to join our Child Protective Services Team 2 team located at the Ardmore Family Services working 8:00AM-5:00PM - Mo Tu We Th Fr.
Summary:
The CPS manager provides daily oversight and supervision to the child protective services team, to ensure quality and effective services are being delivered to individuals served. The manager ensures adherence to tribal and federal code, standard operating procedures, policy, and current best practices.
- Directs practice and provides case consultation to CPS workers to ensure standards are met within the context of the CPS investigation processes, substantiation protocols and court reporting practices
- Oversees tribal and Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) investigations and assessments to ensure all First American children are receiving holistic services and ICWA is followed
- Monitors and trains CPS staff in areas of investigative processes, child safety, court processes, cultural engagement, and SOP guidelines
- Performs direct practice such as CPS investigations, assessments, court testimony, and court advocacy, as needed
- Plans and assigns investigations and assessments to CPS staff according to staff competence and case needs
- Responds to complaints and de-escalates difficult situations
- Reviews CPS worker candidates, recommends candidates, and participates in the interview and selection process
- Assists in the development and implementation of program policy and standard operating procedures
- Completes program reports, data collection, record keeping, and business correspondence related to child protective services
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
