We are currently looking for a Full Time Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our Dental Clinic Team 5 team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working .
Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Serves in the capacity of a receptionist by greeting patients, courtesy and in a professional and prompt manner prior to obtaining all the information and documents required
- Schedules new patient, referral and follow-up appointments, handles all cancellations, and communicates appointment reminders
- Navigates patient to outside resources within the patient's area to complete their treatments
- Partners with Chief of Dental Services and Dental Clinic Manager to develop a schedule template to ensure effective scheduling
- Identifies potential emergent dental care needs
- Communicates with supervising dentists and physicians, and other primary care providers concerning patients care
- Collects of medical and dental histories
- Makes appointments and manages recall systems
- Calls patients two days prior to their appointments to remind them of date and time
- Ensures day to day maintenance of all clinic area, including minor equipment adjustments and cleanliness of clinic areas
- Triages same day walk-ins (urgent care) and assigns patient to appropriate schedule to ensure consistent care
- Works in emergency appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts
- Advises patient of any documentation that will be needed at time of check in
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
- Greets and engages with a smile
- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
- Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types

- Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
