We are currently looking for a Full Time Facilities Maintenance and Asset Manager to join our Area of Health Engagement team located at the Abbott Miller Bldg.

Summary :

The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing maintenance, facility planning, site repairs and future budgeting for Wellness Center and Tushka Fit facilities and utilized assets including but not limited to HVAC, equipment and pools

Responsibilities :

  • This position is located within the Chickasaw Nation boundaries and will be stationed in Ada with the need to travel to Wellness Center and Tushka Fit facilities located in Ada, Ardmore, Purcell, Tishomingo as well as any future sites
  • This position will serve as the facility representative in planning and developing facilities maintenance needs and routine care schedules with Wellness Center Regional Manager
  • Oversee site projects from inception, planning and completion while managing budgets, resources and efficiency
  • Prepare and manage annual CAPX projects and budgets for all needs related to facility maintenance, mechanical, equipment and other internal assets
  • Must be self-motivated and able to create, execute and maintain excellence in the performance of duties while working independently
  • Conduct monthly meetings with team, providing constructive feedback and direction for consistency based on leadership from Regional Management
  • Provide positive leadership to any direct reports, encouraging a team approach, professional attitude and relationships, always modeling best practices in this regard
  • Responsible for communicating with site Managers and Regional Manager through any form(s) of communication necessary for maintenance updates, project updates, etc. (email, text, video communications, phone calls, in-person communication and / or video conferencing, etc.)
  • Support the functionality, safety, and sustainability of the Wellness Centers and Tushka Fit facilities, grounds, infrastructure and equipment
  • Provide guidance and assessment of facility infrastructure, development of equipment care plans and maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate long and short range maintenance plans and programs including emergency response plans, infrastructure and equipment maintenance / replacement, pool care
  • Manage site projects including repairs, preventative maintenance for building, HVAC, pools, etc
  • Create and manage work orders for items requiring purchasing, exterior resources, or scheduling
  • Manage the creation, budgets, implementation, and completion for CAPX maintenance projects, equipment maintenance and planned replacement
  • Create and manage asset inventory to create lifecycle planning with site managers
  • Collaborate with procurement on purchasing processes, follow through and payment
  • Work with the internal housekeeping, HVAC and maintenance teams on assorted projects
  • Collaborate with Wellness Center leadership and Construction teams on future building projects, remodels, or expansions
  • Establish vendor relations to provide ongoing support for infrastructure, equipment updates or other necessary items
  • Research new products, laws, regulations, for recommending purchases, vendor contracts, ongoing maintenance or processes
  • Schedule and implement routine facility and equipment inspections, maintenance, repairs and upkeep
  • Execute seasonal preparations to protect the building infrastructure during any weather extremes
  • Work with vendors and team to design facility layouts, equipment placements and functional maintenance plans
  • Treat all members with respect and maintain a cooperative attitude with other employees to facilitate quality customer service. Must maintain effective working relationship with employees and supervisory staff of the facility, with tribal officials and other visitors to the facility
  • Collaborate with all departments to implement and maintain services and maintenance programs
  • Participate in meetings, workshops, certifications, seminars and other educational events to continue to stay up on industry standards and new or changing equipment
  • Communicate concerns, necessary information, options / solutions for sites and action plan with leadership teams
  • With future growth, perform personnel functions such as interviews, evaluations, supervising, etc. to maintain adequate staffing and enhance productivity
  • Create monthly report updates for any issues, concerns, ongoing projects and other relevant information for leadership
  • Work with team to develop site standards for consistency and top-notch offerings through mechanical, equipment and associated purchases to maintain a brand standard
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • 5 years directly related management experience

  • High School, GED or Equivalent

  • Bachelors Degree in directly related field
  • Nonessential :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a Facility Management, Site Development, Maintenance or related field
  • Credentials : Essential :

  • Standard Driver's License
  • Pass general background check
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
  • CN Core Leadership Level 1
  • Essential :

  • Must be willing to obtain certifications with a focus on Maintenance and Facility Management
  • Preference will be given to Native American applicants
  • Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification, or obtain within six (6) months of employment
  • This position requires completion of level one Core Leadership Training within 12 months of the hire or promotion date
