We are currently looking for a Full Time Facility Services Coordinator to join our Health Facility Services Unit 1 team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.

Summary :

Responsible for assisting, development, coordination and maintenance of environmental sanitation within acceptable levels of bacteriological as well as visual cleanliness.

Responsibilities :

  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
  • Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
  • Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
  • Greets and engages with a smile
  • Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment
  • Maintains and promotes professionalism
  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Maintains files, logs, and records
  • Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information
  • Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
  • Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Prepares weekly reports
  • Mentors, coaches, develops and assists in training in assigned area
  • Assigns, reviews, monitors and ensures performance of assigned staff for area of responsibility
  • Participates in candidate selection process
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities of assigned staff
  • Reviews and documents work effectiveness of assigned staff
  • Coaches and corrects assigned staff through performance deficiencies
  • Observes and documents work behaviors of assigned staff
  • Ensures cooperative and respectful work relationship of assigned staff including interpersonal training and resolving internal issues
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines for assigned work area
  • May be required to act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the manager to ensure all operational standards are maintained
  • Cleans assigned area
  • Cleans and sweeps floors
  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms
  • May empty ash trays
  • Disposes of trash
  • May clean exterior areas such as parking lots and sidewalks
  • Aligns seats close to machines in gaming areas
  • Sweeps, mops, dusts, vacuums and performs basic cleaning and janitorial procedures
  • Dusts, polishes, and cleans furniture in common areas and other areas as requested
  • Cleans windows, doors, mirrors, glass partitions, baseboards, jambs, trim and walls, maintain sanitization of restrooms, empty and clean waste receptacles
  • Mixes various cleaning agents and use cleaning solutions to remove stains and clean surfaces
  • Maintains equipment and materials used to fulfill tasks and replenish supplies and keep simple records of work performed and materials used
  • Uses safe and sanitary work practices when cleaning facilities and using cleaning chemicals
  • Complies with all safety and infection control policies and procedures
  • Monitors and ensures the basic safety of guests, employees and tribal assets based on assigned duty station :
  • Guards facility entrances - controlling access and alarming others as necessary
  • May escort patrons or guests
  • May escort / monitor drop team and money carts
  • Prepares temporarty visitor IDs
  • May respond to security breaches
  • May execute internal and external patrols of assigned areas and locations
  • Assists with orientation, special activities and training on specific procedures, tasks or equipment
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • Skills : Essential :

  • Basic Computer skills
  • Complete level 1 Core Leadership Training within 12 mos
  • Vacuum cleaner, basic equipment, knowledge carpet care
  • Janitorial equipment and supplies
  • Cleaning Solvents, chemicals etc
  • Must be able to operate a computer and / or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment)
  • Experience : Essential :

  • 4 years directly related experience
  • Education : Essential :

  • High School, GED or Equivalent
  • Credentials : Nonessential :

  • Pass general background check
  • Bloodborne pathogen
  • Standard Driver's License
  • Working Conditions : Essential :

  • Works in a hospital or clinic environment
  • May work in loud or noisy areas
  • Potential exposure to chemical strippers / sealers
  • Potential exposure to cleaning fluids and solvents
  • Potential exposure to contagious diseases
  • May be required to deal with situations that are potentially dangerous
  • Risk of electrical shock
  • May be required to de-escalate argumentative, hostile or similar situations
  • May be required to assist individuals who are hostile, agitated or under the influence
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
