Description

We are currently looking for a Full Time Health IT Application Operations Manager to join our IT Health Operations team located at the Apila Center working .

Summary:


Handles a wide range of duties pertaining to the day-to-day functions of the Department of Health and supervise employees to ensure that the organization is adhering to its quality standards. This position manages routine business of the operations team while balancing the responsibilities of various health-related business lines such as business analysis, vendor relations, and risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversees Health IT operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities for improvement or revision
  • Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and provides strategic solutions
  • Provides leadership in planning the workload, enforcing system standards and ensuring applications comply with defined technical direction
  • Oversees management of the Health Application Support team
  • Completes general management responsibilities, including staff scheduling, coaching, monitoring and directing the team in the organization, prioritization, and completion of assigned tasks
  • Ensures on time, high quality delivery of application support services
  • Creates Key Performance Indicators with which to measure team performance monthly, performs in-depth trend analysis, and reports on KPI metrics up through line of support and across IT
  • Completes reasonableness testing and information validation prior to circulating findings and recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Collaborates with other back-office team members to ensure seamless business execution, reinforce positive morale, and uphold company values
  • Collaborates with transitions and onboarding team as needed
  • Identifies and tracks issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves issues of high complexity involving stakeholders and escalates to appropriate levels when required
  • Assesses a variety of situations and provides clarity to team and stakeholders
  • Solicits and responds to feedback while gaining commitment and support
  • Works closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the department are being properly executed in accordance with regulatory-based and ITIL best practices
  • Ensures metrics are defined and utilized to measure performance of development teams, including workload
  • Ensures Health Applications support team has the tools and training necessary to identify, research, and resolve application related issues effectively and efficiently
  • Ensures remediation steps are taken for any Key Performance Indicators not being met
  • Assesses Key Performance Indicators at least twice yearly to ensure applicability, accountability, and effectiveness
  • Ensures Health Application Analysts respond timely to requests for technical assistance with applications within SLA windows and provide an outstanding customer experience to the customer
  • Fields questions, gathers information, and services requests pertaining to vulnerabilities for Information Security
  • Reviews change management request entries for accuracy and fulfillment of change management request requirements
  • Tracks EOS dates for supported applications and servers, and facilitates upgrades/risk acceptance requests when needed
  • Ensures employees and resources complete assigned training and development
  • Maintains knowledge of and enforce all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
  • Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
  • Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
  • Greets and engages with a smile
  • Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
  • Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment

  • Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
  • Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

  • Must be able to operate a computer and/or other equipment related to specific role (i.e. automated currency counters, calculator, projector, binding machine, other related office equipment)
  • Excellent Phone Skills


Experience:

Essential:
  • 5 years directly related management experience

Nonessential:
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience

Education:

Essential:
  • Bachelors Degree in directly related field

Essential:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or equivalent work experience

Credentials:

  • Pass general background check
  • Standard Driver's License
  • CN Core Leadership Level 1
  • Certified HIPAA Professional
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
