What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Investigator position at The Chickasaw Nation?
We are currently looking for a Full Time Licensing Investigator to join our Davis Licensing Investigator team located at the Goldsby Gaming Center.
Summary :
Responsible for conducting thorough personal and criminal background investigations to assist in the determination of suitability of an applicant by verifying and documenting information such as but not limited to, public records, court documents, applicant statements, credit reports, personal references, work and residential history, and gaming business relationships. Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple assignments, establish priorities, and effectively perform in a dynamic environment. A thorough knowledge of the operations of the Chickasaw Nation governmental gaming operations and the Office of the Gaming Commissioner are required.

- Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
- Develops and performs detailed administrative tasks and functions to assure an accurate and timely flow of information needed for prudent administrative decisions
- Receives and assists gaming applicants with applications
- Communicates with applicants and gaming license / permit holders
- Conducts thorough background investigations; employment and personal reference checks as required for gaming applicants
- Reviews background reports, court documents and personal statements to evaluate the information received and character of the applicant in order to compile information for investigations and report on the risk an applicant poses
- Compares renewal applicant's application with previous application(s) and / or termed file(s) to check for discrepancies
- Submits license / permit verification request to any governmental / licensing agency necessary and responds to any license / permit verification requested by another governmental / licensing agency
- Submits completed Investigation Reports and recommends Suitability Determinations to their authorized supervisor
- Maintains and updates the database daily
- Performs all other duties as assigned
