We are currently looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Support Personnel I to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Customer Service team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center working .
Summary:
Provides clerical and administrative support services to the Pharmacy Department.
Responsibilities:
- Performs duties to assist the pharmacy staff
- Performs reception duties for the pharmacy department, receives and logs patients' medical records and assists patient in accessing pharmacy services
- Assists patients in tracking package information within GlobalShip, both USPS and FedEx
- Obtains state approved identification of patients receiving and/or picking up controlled medications
- Assists Pharmacy Courier and Transportation Drivers in finding patient medications and getting them to their destinations
- Assists with medication refill processing to include correct medication processing and correct delivery method inputs
- Assists patients picking up refill medications and discharges
- Answers routine questions or makes appropriate referrals when needed
- Couple medications with GSL software and place within GSL cabinets
- Maintains files, logs, and records
- Answers the phone, transfers calls, takes messages and screens calls per guidelines for areas served
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Participates in performance improvement activities to measure, assess and improve the quality of assigned work area
- Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types
- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner
- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made
- Greets and engages with a smile
- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
- Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
