Job Title: Poker Floor Supervisor
General Description: Ensure excellent service to our patrons; supervise personnel working in their respective areas. Preserve the integrity of the games with close scrutiny of dealers and customers.
Supervision Received: Poker Assistant Shift Supervisor
Supervision Exercised: Poker Dealers / Poker Hosts
Essential Job Functions:
- Initiate and observe the dealers during the table banks open and close process. This includes verifying the playing cards, ensuring the shuffle machine is in working condition, and verifying the table bank paperwork is completed, signed, and submitted to the Poker room manager or locked in a table bank.
- Investigate all patron disputes using available means such as: dealer information, player information, and surveillance information to resolve the dispute. Report all decisions and information to the Poker Shift Supervisor and/or Assistant Shift Supervisor.
- Maintain physical presence on casino floor to ensure all games are played within compliance regulations. Continually observe games in progress for possible irregularities in player or dealer conduct. Inform Shift Supervisor and/or Assistant Shift Supervisor of any deviation from standard dealing procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of all barred persons through ongoing communication within the facility and from leadership. Communicate barred persons information to operations if an individual is in the casino.
- Run chips for players and fills for table banks by partnering with the Chip Cage Cashier, game players, and the dealer to determine the amount of money and chips that are needed.
- Prepare all daily departmental paperwork with accuracy in assigned area which may include: headcount sheets, table audits, table inventory logs, table check out forms, and any additional reports requested by management.
- Communicate all daily shift business information to the incoming shift supervisors during shift change. Conduct pre-shift meetings for employees.
- Mentor dealers for development by continuously evaluating performance and coach in
order to maximum their potential; properly assess dealer’s abilities through the use of shift audits, IDP completion, annual performance evaluations, and ongoing training and feedback/counselling to enhance performance. Assist in training new dealers to comply with the casino’s dealing procedures and policies.
- Enforce Oklahoma Gaming Rules and Regulations, Chickasaw Nation Gaming Rules and
Regulations, and standard operation procedures for the facility by providing ongoing training; coach and provide feedback to all dealers in order to execute functions within compliance regulations
- Manage the Poker board to seat players accordingly. This includes: greeting patrons when they approach the board, taking patron sign-ups and seating patrons as seats are available to the game of their interest, promoting upcoming Poker events as they are relayed to the team by management, and taking incoming phone calls from patrons and signing them up for the games requested using our computer system.
- Communicate employee concerns to the Shift Supervisor and/or Assistant Shift
Supervisor and participate in investigations while maintaining confidentiality; effectively resolve all minor concerns or complaints.
- Assume the Shift Supervisor role in the absence of the Shift Supervisor and Assistant
Shift Supervisor. This includes all Poker paperwork is accurately completed and submitted, direct the opening and closing of tables, and report any concerns to the Shift
Supervisor, Assistant Shift Supervisor or Poker Manager upon their return. Assume dealer role when needed due to staffing or unexpected increase in business.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
- Must have integrity and be reliable.
- Able to handle difficult customers and situations.
- Must have knowledge of all games in the Poker room such as; Texas Hold’em, Omaha,
Seven Card Stud, and Low Ball
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must be able to follow all instructions, written and oral.
- Must have excellent elementary mathematics skills.
- Must possess intermediate computer skills
- Must be able to work varied shifts, long hours, including weekends, holidays, and promotions based on business needs.
Training and Experience:
- Must possess a minimum of 18 months prior dealing experience.
- Current or past participation in the Chickasaw Nation Division of Commerce Fast Track
Leadership Training Program may be substituted for any of the above listed experience at the discretion of the Chief Operation Officer and approved by the Chief Executive
Officer and/or Governor
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Be able to pass a background check and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw
Nation Office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
- Complete pre-employment drug test with a negative result.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be at least 4 weeks post COVID-19 vaccination(s).
Work Environment:
The work environment requires the ability to work an “open office” type setting which mandates a professional, discreet demeanor. Must be able to work with the public with ability to handle difficult situations and exposure to hostile/emotionally disturbed people, as well as tolerate occasional exposure to loud noises, flashing lights, dust, dirt and second hand smoke. May work in areas where temperatures fluctuate, have poor ventilation or areas where smoking may be allowed; work in high traffic areas or places where people congregate; may experience extreme weather conditions on the job as well as on the way to and from specific job sites.
