We are currently looking for a Full Time Youth Specialist to join our Youth Leadership Program Team team located at the Youth & Family Building working .Summary : Works to serve the Chikasha Pehlichi Ikbi program and perform all essential general duties.Responsibilities :

  • Plans and coordinates multiple events throughout the year, including sessions, personal development courses, special events, and conferences
  • Ensure that events are well-organized, engaging, and meet the objectives of the program
  • Creates agendas, memos, and checklists for all events
  • Makes reservations with restaurants and venues on behalf of the program
  • Reports weekly and monthly to the manager
  • Employee speaks frequently to schools, community organizations, churches, youth groups, etc. to provide standard program information
  • Remain a positive influence for youth members and the Chickasaw Nation while on and off work hours
  • Assists in transporting Chickasaw youth from Ardmore, Davis, Purcell, Tishomingo, and Ada
  • Oversees student attendance, keeps track of assigned student program points, and communicates with parents
  • Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes
  • Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
  • Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
  • Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.

  • High School, GED or EquivalentNonessential :
  • Bachelors Degree in directly related fieldCredentials : Essential :
  • Pass general background check
  • Standard Driver's LicenseNonessential :
  • CDL License with Air Brake Endorsement
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR)
  • First Aid Certification
  • Life Guard Certification
  • Automated External DefibrillatorNonessential :
  • Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement within 90 days of employment
  • CPR certification within 90 days of employment
  • First Aid certification within 90 days of employment
  • Lifeguard certification within 90 days of employment
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification within 90 days of employmentWorking Conditions : Essential :
  • Transport children
  • Car, van, light truck
  • Travel is primarily within Chickasaw Nation boundaries
  • Must be flexible with work schedule
  • Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach
  • Able to drive assigned vehicle types
  • Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs
  • Mix of office / non-office settings
  • Outside, all weather conditions
  • Pass pre-employment drug test
