Mental Health/Domestic Violence Consultants with experience working in Early Childhood and with Adolescents.
The staff person is a full time employee of the Child Center of New York, working under the ACS Clinical Consultation Program. The mental health/domestic violence staff person will function as consultant to ACS, under the supervision of the CCNY Team Coordinator/Project Director and will be located full time within one of the ACS Field Office Sites located in the Bronx along with other members of the program staff.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct formal and informal consultations with ACS Child Protective Specialists on their cases which include mental health and/or domestic violence concerns.
- Consultant will meet productivity requirements including number of formal consultations per week and writing reports for every consultation, within an acceptable time frame.
- Attend Family Team Meetings, case conferences and child safety conferences as required and approved by the team coordinator.
- Develop and implement at least one mental health training or domestic violence for Child Protective Specialists, supervisors and managers per month.
- Attend case reviews as an important training tool, as per request of ACS deputy directors and approval of the Team Coordinator . Case reviews
- Attend bi-monthly CCP city wide mental health and alternately domestic violence consultants meetings.
- Develop/maintain knowledge of community based resources for referral for mental health and/or domestic violence services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LMSW
- 3 years post Master's clinical experience
- Proficient in Microsoft
