Summary:
Establishes relationships with community agencies and businesses to develop internships and placements for enrolled clients and assist clients in gaining competitive employment. Conducts Career Club groups with adolescent population (ages16-21). Reports directly to the program Supervisor.

Essential Functions:
- Responsible for conducting individualized assessments and internship/employment placements.
- Responsible for the development of natural supports in the workplace, retention and transition strategies, job coaching, financial literacy
- Match youth with employment sites that are within the youth's capabilities and employment interests.
- Maintain frequent communication with employers in order to provide necessary supports, assess job performance and ensure continued development in accordance with the consistency of the youth's disclosure plan.
- Develop job and internship opportunities in the community and maintain a network of employers to support ASC employment efforts. Promote and market the advantages of employing ASC youth and all relevant tax credit incentives to employers.
- Conduct weekly groups (career club) related to employment services including job related skills training services, and the development of basic living skills which will complement the participants’ career goal
- Complete documentation in keeping with the regulations.
- Conducts individual sessions to complete career education planning with clients. Update progress notes, service plans, assessments for a caseload of 20 clients at any given time
- Coordinate placement of Job Net clients into to internships. Monitoring progress and documentation of internship experience.
- Maintains database of businesses and organizations that can be used for placements of enrolled clients.
- Keeps up to date with new resources for clients, including Internet sites. Prepares and send out active job leads to clients.
- Monitors and trouble-shooting placement issues for program clients. Makes outreach visits to worksites when required, to engage and follow up on enrolled clients.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the program team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- At least 1 years of experience providing counseling, employment services or job development services to young adults individually or in a group setting.
- Experience in developing working relationships with businesses and agencies in securing job or training placements for clients preferred.
