Position: Operations Support Manager
Department: Administration
Pay Rate: $68,294-$74,880 Status: Exempt
The Operations Support Manager plays a vital role in advancing organizational priorities by managing projects, maintaining internal processes and workflows, and supporting effective program operations. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this position collaborates closely with the CEO, Chief Program Officer (CPO), and leadership team to manage high-impact projects, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and support executive-level planning and reporting. A key responsibility includes managing the workflow and operational coordination of grants, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and reporting requirements are met across departments.

Duties
- Oversee and implement special projects that enhance operational effectiveness and organizational impact, including developing Standard Operating Procedures and scaling best practices.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline functions and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust plans as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Support the Leadership Team in strategic planning, budgeting processes, and internal reporting.
- Support program directors in developing grant proposals, ensuring alignment with priorities, and manage grant proposal project plan and ensure grant is ready for submission.
- Maintain and update the organizational grants database to track submission deadlines, reporting timelines, and budget expenditures.
- Understand grant compliance requirements and work with the leadership team to improve organizational processes for documenting grant information and activities, including site visits.
- Work with departments to collect and synthesize data to meet grant requirements, including program deliverables and financial reporting.
- Support leadership in monitoring progress toward strategic goals and organizational priorities by developing systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with the strategic plan.
- Create dashboards, scorecards, and visual summaries to communicate progress to leadership, staff, and the board on strategic plan initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and briefings for Leadership Team.
- Participate in team meetings, workgroups, and organization-wide initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and recommend potential government funding opportunities that align with The Children’s Cabinet's mission and strategic goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills Required
Knowledge of:
- Principles of project planning, execution, tracking, and evaluation
- The grant lifecycle, including writing, implementation, and compliance
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting tools
- Basic budgeting principles and familiarity with financial tracking
- Client focused program development and management
- How grant deliverables tie into program goals and reporting
- Windows-based computer software programs including Microsoft 365 (Office)

Special Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field with 5 years of experience in project management, program management, nonprofit administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to write for various audiences (government agencies, private foundations, donors).
- Must have reliable transportation for work-related travel.
- Must possess a valid Nevada Driver’s license and proof of insurance for using a personal vehicle for company business.
- May require some evening and weekend work.
- Job requires repetitive key stroking; ability to sit for long periods (2 hours); must be able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
- Able to use office equipment (phones, fax, copier, mail meter, etc.).
