Definition:

The Provider Support Manager is responsible for overseeing childcare provider operational support services statewide. This includes oversight of the ECSN services within the greater Reno/Sparks/Carson City/Elko and greater Las Vegas Metropolitan area. The Provider Support Manager assists in the monitoring and delivery of childcare grant opportunities, and oversees projects and initiatives that increase business support skills and knowledge to childcare owners and operators. This role involves providing leadership, supervision, and training to ECSN staff and Business Support staff to ensure the effective delivery of support services to families, providers, and children in the early childhood stage. The Provider Support Manager plays a crucial role in promoting the well-being and development of young children and their families by fostering a supportive network and coordinating resources within the community. In addition to program oversight, the Provider Support Manager will also have primary responsibilities related to program funding, administration, staff supervision, and community relations. This position reports to the Provider Support Director.

Requires comprehensive understanding of early childhood education principles and practices, along with positive parenting concepts and work/life support for families. Demonstrated skills in strong leadership with experience in supervising and developing staff.

Duties:

- Achieve an understanding of agency mission, strategic focus areas and overall goals and objectives and contribute to the success of these areas.

- Read, understand, and apply all agency and department policy and procedures set forth in the Agency Handbook.

- Oversee the implementation and administration of ECSN programs in accordance with organizational policies.

- Develop, execute, and update annual plans aligned with organizational goals to support providers in delivering high-quality care and education.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures as needed.

- Participates with early childhood related committees and/or boards encouraging a unified message on ECE issues and identified activities.

- Manage provider grants ensuring timely disbursement and compliance with funding requirements.

- Offer business support services to providers, including financial management guidance, administrative assistance, and access to relevant tools and resources

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to ECSN and Business coordinators and team members.

- Foster a positive and supportive work environment conducive to professional growth and development.

- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

- Recruit, hire, evaluate job performance and contribute to staff development for direct reports

- Oversee the effective implementation of ECSN services, ensuring adherence to established protocols, guidelines, and best practices.

- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the reach and impact of ECSN programs within the community.

- Monitor program outcomes and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired results.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and agencies to leverage resources and support for ECSN initiatives.

- Utilize data insights to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making processes.

- Assist Program Director in budget planning and management for programs.

- Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines through spending approvals and monthly review of program financial reports.

- Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and program improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of
- Child development, quality childcare, and work/family issues
- Equity and disparities in utilization of support services
- Early childhood development principles, family support services, and community resources.
- Best practices in Supervision/Management
- HR practices and wage and hour regulations
- Program budgets

Ability to

- Express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Provide support and direction to department coordinators and team members
- Problem solve in stressful situations
- Keep appointments punctually, be organized and demonstrate follow through.
- Work with adults of diverse backgrounds and beliefs and adapt service delivery accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with team members and community agencies.

Special Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or closely relevant field; If you have at least 7 years of equivalent experience, you may be considered for employment without the required bachelor's or other college degree
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
- 5 years experience in early childhood education, family support services, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supervision and management
- Must have reliable vehicle for work and possess a valid Nevada's Driver's License and proof of insurance for utilizing a personal vehicle for company business
- May be required to work some evenings and weekends.
- May be required to travel in state and out of state for training.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs.

License or Certificate

- Able to pass complete background check.
