This position is full-time.
-In addition to the hourly wage, we also provide a substantial, monthly retention bonus after 3 complete months of employment.
-Paid time off for Holiday and Spring breaks per the MCPS schedules.
The Children's Center is looking for an Assistant Teacher to join our amazing team! We serve a great group of families in a very special atmosphere. If you like interacting with young kids and don't mind moving around all day long, that is a good fit for you!
The teacher is responsible for the care for the children under the lead teacher's supervision. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
-Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas;
-Physical care giving;
-Follow an age appropriate curricular plan;
-Treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background;
-Encourage children's development in the areas of building self-confidence, problem solving, and taking responsibility for their actions;
-Facilitate supportive relationships with co-workers and parents;
-Cleaning routine.
Minimum Qualifications: at least 18 years of age and a high school degree.
Required within 30 days of hiring: First Aid Training and CPR, and 16 hours of annual training (paid).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
