BA Required:
TCC is a multicultural agency offering services in multiple languages, recognizing the cultural diversity of New York City. We are currently seeking Direct Support Professionals to deliver the following services either in the home or within the assigned case's community.
Caregiver Family Advocacy Support Services: We integrate our profound comprehension of family dynamics, child development, advocacy, and community resources to transform your aspirations for a more balanced family life into achievable realities. At The Children's Circle, our proficient team of professionals blends extensive experience with innovative approaches to create an environment that fosters and bolsters the entire family unit. Our CFASS program ensures that families not only cope but thrive, equipped with the knowledge and resources essential for navigating the intricate landscape of child development and healthcare. We are committed to crafting experiences that uplift and empower families, fostering balanced dynamics and deepened understanding.
Our In-Home Respite service offers relief for caregivers, while our dedicated Respite Staff engages individuals in constructive activities aimed at enhancing the skills necessary for independent living.
Cases are located in all five boroughs of New York City
: Responsibilities
- Support individuals in their home or community settings
- Promote independence and encourage participation in social and recreational activities
- Ensure the rights and dignity of individuals are respected at all times
- Implement individualized care plans and document progress
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
- Valid driver's license or access to public transportation for commuting to client locations
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Knowledge of resident rights and ability to advocate for individuals' needs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
-Professionals with experience in teaching children extracurricular activities such as music, art, swimming, yoga, exercise, dance, martial arts, cooking/culinary arts, chess and other related activities are welcome to apply for this position
