What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Placement Supervisor position at The Children's Home, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY : Professional work providing oversight to the placement team in coordinating placements for children 0-17 entering foster care in Hillsborough County or needing replacement. This involves an in depth knowledge of available resources as well as the child welfare system, and the aptitude to provide supportive and strong supervision to a team of professional individuals. Participates in organization's continuous quality improvement efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Completes all reporting requirements as required by pre-established timelines.
- In conjunction with Manager and Director, continually monitors progress towards contract performance goals, helps to organize workload to assist staff in achieving individual goals.
- Provides monthly supervision to staff. Ensures that staff are providing high quality service and complying with agency policy and procedures. Responsible for any disciplinary action that may need to be taken.
- Support night shift staff in identifying and securing placement options for children ensuring each decision is child focused and child safety and wellbeing are paramount.
- Work cohesively with other the placement staff in developing a cohesive and seamless transition between shifts.
- Ensure staff is providing prompt placement response. Work with licensing supervisor to ensure timely placement of children and trouble shoot any areas of need.
- Provides back up support 24 / 7 as needed.
- Works closely in collaboration with HCSO and leadership of the CMOs in meeting immediate placement needs, as well as replacement needs.
- Develops strong partnership with licensing provider(s), as well as residential providers to ensure a robust and positive partnership with all placement providers.
- Complete all tracking / reporting as assigned.
- Ensure that all CPA entries, match reports, and transport logs are completed and accurate prior to submission.
- Attends QPI related events to include but not limited to HCFPA meetings and foster parent appreciation events.
- Works within the philosophy and policies of the Children's Home Network.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
Education & Experience :
Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in social work or a closely related field from an accredited educational institution and at least four (4) years of experience in working with special needs children in a child welfare setting. Relevant case management experience a plus. Experience with foster care required.

Annual Training Requirements : The following training topics are required annually : Sexual Harassment, Blood-borne Pathogens, Workplace Accident Prevention and Reporting, Confidentiality and Privacy Practices, Diversity / Cultural Competency, Child Abuse and Neglect Mandated Reporter Statutes and Methods, Prevention of Violence in the Workplace, OSHA-related training, Crisis Prevention, and Program Goals.
