The Children's Home of Easton (CHE) is a non-profit organization founded in 1885 to support children in out-of-home care, many of whom have experienced significant trauma. We provide comprehensive, trauma-responsive services to help each child achieve their goals and reach their full potential. Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caseworker to join our Campus Program team. The caseworker is responsible for providing comprehensive and trauma-responsive case management to all female clients in our campus residential program, at a maximum of 8 clients. The caseworker serves as the clients’ advocate, assists them in achieving their individual goals, and coordinates with other members of the care team, both internal and external, to meet the clients’ needs.

Duties

  • Facilitate case management sessions with assigned clients on a weekly basis, evaluating their goal progress and their physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs. Complete accurate and timely documentation of each interaction as required in the electronic record system.
  • Coordinate needs for medical care, therapeutic treatments, recreation, and education services to support the clients’ identified needs.
  • Transport and serve as the client’s advocate at medical and therapeutic appointments and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with each client and their approved support system to identify individualized goals, utilizing this information to develop a detailed individual service plan which is updated every six months.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely records of case files. Complete all required paperwork in accordance with licensing regulations and organization procedures.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with each client’s county caseworker, guardian ad litem, parent/guardian, and/or visiting resources. Provide ongoing updates about the client’s progress, ensuring proper documentation of each interaction.
  • Responsible for the development and preparation of discharge planning.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in child welfare and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of trauma-informed care, supervision, and case management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, organizational skills, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong emotional intelligence which includes self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and effective communication.
  • Ability to adapt readily, multi-task, and work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Eligible to work with children based upon state-required background clearances.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
