Overview
Our Direct Care Staff provide direct supervision and support to youth in out-of-home care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive development. This role involves implementing trauma-responsive care techniques to build positive relationships, manage behaviors, and promote healing and resilience. Staff are responsible for maintaining a structured and supportive environment, facilitating daily routines, and engaging youth in activities that foster personal growth while adhering to all relevant state regulations and organizational policies.
Duties
- Constant supervision of residents, ensuring safety and support at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned building(s) and facilitation of chore schedules.
- Provide medication administration to clients.
- Serve as a support and advocate for clients, assisting with goal progress. Engage in program activities while managing behaviors/emotional concerns that arise.
- Respond effectively and appropriately to crises/emergencies, following procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
- Transport clients in organization vehicles.
- Maintain accurate reports of activities, incidents, and any other relevant notes, ensuring clear and consistent communication with supervisors.
- Attend and participate in trainings and meetings as required.

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License/Record Check
- 21 years of age or older
- All applicants are required to pass a physical examination by a licensed professional.
- Must pass state trainings including Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Medical Administration provided by The Children’s Home of Easton.
- Eligible to work with children as shown through required state clearances.
