A Brief Overview This position provides technical support for research activities within Dr. Stephan Grupp’s lab. The Research Technician II will work independently and as part of a team to conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and process samples for the CAR-T Biobank. This role involves applying advanced technical skills, scientific knowledge, and independent problem-solving abilities to contribute to ongoing research projects. Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue culture is required. Familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA, and handling and specimen collection skills are strongly preferred. A 2-year commitment is required. What you will do Prepare reagents, solutions, and media. Conduct a variety of research laboratory experiments according to established protocols using human-derived tissue samples and may require mouse handling. Process patient samples for cryopreservation in Biobank. Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data using appropriate software and make concise written and oral presentation of results. Maintain up-to-date, accurate and detailed laboratory records. Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and regulations. Education Qualifications High School Diploma / GED Required Associate's Degree Preferred Bachelor's Degree Preferred Experience Qualifications At least one (1) year of related classroom experience or successful completion of a technical training program (eg. Wistar, WPSI) and research laboratory experience Required At least two (2) years of related classroom experience or successful completion of a technical training program (eg. Wistar, WPSI) and research laboratory experience Preferred Experience in aseptic mammalian tissue culture Required Familiarity with multi-color flow cytometry and ELISA Preferred. Mouse handling and specimen collection skills Preferred Skills and Abilities Ability to follow complex lab protocols and adapt to evolving research needs. Working independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Good interpersonal skills Intermediate understanding of lab procedures, protocols, and equipment.
