The Landscaping/Grounds Management Intern will work closely with the Groundskeeping Supervisor to maintain and enhance the museum’s outdoor spaces. The Landscaping/Grounds Management Intern will work closely with the Groundskeeping Supervisor to maintain and enhance the museum’s outdoor spaces. The intern will gain experience with plant care, irrigation systems, and grounds maintenance while contributing to the overall beauty and functionality of the museum campus.

Internship Duties
- Assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the museum’s landscaping.
- Perform seasonal clean-up tasks, including tree and shrub trimming, mulching, and container garden maintenance.
- Support landscape design and build projects under the guidance of the Groundskeeping Supervisor.
- Help with the setup, transportation, and takedown of tables, chairs, and equipment for museum events.
- Conduct daily grounds clean-up, ensuring a neat and welcoming appearance for guests.
- Maintain groundskeeping equipment by fueling, cleaning, and performing minor maintenance tasks.
- Observe other departments to learn more about museum operations.
- Be pursuing an undergraduate degree, preferably in Landscaping, Horticulture, or Grounds Management.
- Have at least two years of college completed by the start of the internship.
- Possess basic plant knowledge and an interest in landscape design/build.
- Be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
