Job Summary:
The Chief Merchandise Planning Strategist will oversee the financial management of assigned areas, including creation of plans, actualization of results, and implementation of strategic business opportunities. This position will forecast sales, markdowns, and inventory levels on a regular basis and identify risks to the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a team of planners
- Create monthly financial plans at division, category, and season code levels
- Rforecast sales, markdown, and inventory for fiscal time periods at division, category, and season code levels
- Establish financial targets at division, category, and season code levels
- Create assortment plans at style and color levels for merchandise buy periods
- Analyze historical and current trends to identify risks or opportunities
- Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal sales reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 5 years of experience in retail planning and analysis
- Experience in management
