Position Summary:
Oversee and optimize communication regarding Product Safety for all TCP brands (TCP/GYM/SNJ/PJ Place) within the Global Sourcing Department at the New Jersey Corporate office. Collaborate with Sourcing Leadership and Legal counsel on Product Safety Reviews, internal investigations, and managing Product Safety Manual updates.
Key Accountabilities:
Product Safety and Compliance:
- Correspondence for Product Safety Locked Inventory to key stakeholders
- Notify and coordinate with Sourcing and Legal Counsel to investigate Product Safety related issues
- Manage direct safety related issues with SEDC and Stores Inspections and investigations
- Work with Legal and Sourcing Leadership for Recalls/Store Communications and Customer Service
- Issue Product Safety Penalty Chargebacks with Legal Letter
- Create Product Safety Leadership Deck for Sourcing and Legal Counsel
- Manage Product Safety Manual correspondence and updates relationship with nominated labs
- Manage Product and Safety Quality Callouts through organization for all TCP Brands. Work with TCP Departments to share data for consolidated customer review reports.
- Stores Agent Runners managed through Support Central Tickets initiated reporting feature
- Customer Service Alerts through Pega System
- Online Reviews through Pixelee Emplifi platform
- SEDC Quality Alerts distributed by SEDC QA Team
- Merchant/Design quality callouts – internal investigations
- Track Product Safety Related Issues and occurrences
- Support Monthly TCP Product Safety Report by TCP HK Analyst
Product Safety Seasonal Reviews:
- Oversee and coordinate Product Safety Reviews at the New Jersey office, collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary contact for setting guidelines and scheduling meetings with the Calendar Team.
- Develop and implement the process for safety reviews in collaboration with key stakeholders from the outset.
- Manual Guides:
- Support Vendor Cloud Guide updates for new updates and revisions across cross-functional teams
- Vendor cloud Manual Guide Management on shared point
- Cross-functional partnership to update Manuals as required
Nominated Labs Intertek and BV Relationship:
- Act as the liaison for Intertek, collaborating with Sourcing leadership and Legal on testing requirements for internal product safety and quality investigations.
- Coordinate sample shipments for testing and track testing status.
- Address product compliance and product safety inquiries.
- Oversee product testing requirements.
- Review and validate Intertek invoices monthly with Executive Admin to ensure they are included in claims.
- Manage the service agreement to ensure quarterly business updates are communicated.
Skills and Behaviors:
- Knowledge of statistical sampling plans and their appropriate applications
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities
- Ability to communicate with, influence and gain support from cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and overall process optimization
- Knowledge of construction methods and alternatives and familiarity with machines required to achieve them for both knit and woven product categories
- Understanding of basic distribution and supply chain operations and processes
- Ability to set clear directions and expectations for direct reports
Ability to quickly follow up and coach teams for improvement when expectations are not being met
Education and Experience:
- Preferred B.A., B.S., or Graduate Degree in related discipline (clothing and textiles or engineering)
- 7-10 years job experience in related field
- Managerial experience in related field or Ecommerce
- 2-3 years experience in retail merchandise operations support (DC)
