Location : Secaucus, New Jersey
Job Summary :
This position is responsible for translating current trends and seasonal concepts into compelling prints and graphics for children's apparel. The artist will be creating original artwork as well as working with studio artwork files and an extensive in-house print and graphic archive. This position requires working closely with other full-time artists in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, while still being able to focus and work nimbly, efficiently and independently.
Responsibilities :
Key Accountabilities :
- Create new and / or manipulate existing textile prints and graphics for apparel in various media within specific timelines
- Prepare prints and graphics for production
- Communicate with corporate partners, including overseas vendors and factories
- Partner with other designers and Art Manager to ensure that the product is consistent with market trends while maintaining the brand identity and business strategy
- Brainstorm new concepts for prints and graphics, being continually aware of current print and graphic trends and bringing newness to the product
- Collaborate with design partners to ensure that artwork fits within the overall seasonal vision and concept
- Collaborate with design and production partners to finalize scaling, placement, and appropriate graphic techniques
Education and Experience :
Position is mostly remote, however associate must be able travel to the Corporate Headquarters in Secaucus on an as needed basis.
