Speech Language Pathologist - PRN
Job Purpose
The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with a wide variety of speech, language, hearing, swallowing, and oral motor disorders. This position plans and conducts remedial programs to restore and improve communicative efficiency of patients and provides counseling and guidance to parents to maximize the potential of every child. This position is an occasional worker who will pick up shifts and fill in hours as needed on a PRN basis.

Upon provider referral, performs patient evaluation and develops specific individualized treatment plan including long and short term goals that are measurable and objective. |

Performs individualized treatment procedures in a professional and compassionate manner to maximize child’s performance. |

Collaborates and communicates effectively with members of the patient care team; performs timely and accurate documentation, and stays up to date on the most recent occupational Therapy techniques through research and CE |

Evaluates need, orders, and/or fabricates appropriate therapeutic equipment as indicated by patient need. |

Participates in staff trainings, student observations, clinical instruction of students and interns, and family training opportunities. |

Qualifications
Education: |
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. Graduate of accredited School of Speech Language Pathology. |
Experience: |
Pediatric experience preferred |
License/Certification/Credential: |
Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY candidate and valid Speech Language Pathology license from the State of Oklahoma. |
