Job Purpose
The Senior Director of Financial Analysis & Forecasting is a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to support the hospital’s financial health and long-term sustainability. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role provides executive leadership with data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to enhance financial decision-making and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This position requires strong analytical skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities to collaborate across hospital departments and with external vendors. Additionally, the role must stay current on audit best practices and state, federal, and local regulations governing hospital operations. |
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including profit & loss, forecast vs. budget and weekly cashflow. |

Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations to the CFO & CEO. Develop and maintain financial models to analyze trends, operational performance, and cost drivers. |

Lead hospital-wide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic priorities. Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning and forecasting. |

Develop and maintain the monthly operating budget and annual operating budget. |

Assist the CFO with cash flow planning by developing short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, monitoring liquidity needs, and ensuring funds are available to support operational and strategic initiatives. Identify potential cash flow risks and recommend proactive solutions to optimize financial resources and maintain fiscal stability. |

Qualifications
Education: |
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) |
Experience: |
8 years financial experience. 5-10 years in a leadership position preferred. Required advanced proficiency in financial systems and excel. |
License/Certification/Credential: |
CPA required, CFA, or HFMA certification is a plus |
