Since 1979, HomeSafe has been a nationally accredited non-profit organization dedicated to protecting Palm Beach County’s and South Florida’s most vulnerable residents – victims of child abuse and domestic violence. Here’s what the COO position involves:

Responsible for the administrative oversight and quality performance of the organization’s programs and assigned administrative/support departments.

Participate as a member of the Executive and Management teams in providing leadership to meet the objectives of the organization’s strategic plan.

Provide leadership and guidance to department directors overseeing residential, clinical, and community-based programs.

Ensure program sustainability through strategic planning and sound fiscal management practices.

Train, supervise and evaluate direct reports, establishing performance goals and development plans.

Oversee contract management, including agreement reviews, compliance reporting, and data collection.

Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts, ensuring alignment with licensing, regulatory, and organizational standards.

Design and implement organizational policies and procedures that meet contractual and accreditation requirements.

Collaborate on grant proposals and monitor data reporting for accuracy and effectiveness.

Explore and lead the implementation of new programs and service expansions to support organizational growth.

Oversee organizational efforts to obtain and maintain licensing requirements.

Serve as HIPAA Privacy Officer

Provide executive-level leadership and support in the absence of the CEO.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Master’s degree (preferably in the human services field)

Seven (7) years’ experience in child welfare system, preferably in a residential setting

Five (5) years supervisory experience

Knowledge of local community provider and funder networks

Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations
-
Experience with program development and management
-
Experience with budget development/financial management skills
-
Valid Florida’s driver’s license required
