Position Overview:
Join our dynamic team as an Outreach Educator, where you'll play a key role in building and nurturing relationships with childcare providers, pediatricians, and other community partners across Palm Beach County. Your focus will be on conducting developmental screenings for children and connecting families to essential resources, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting developmental screenings for children through childcare providers, pediatrician offices, outreach events, and other community venues.
- Engaging with local events, fairs, and community outreach opportunities to raise awareness of the Healthy Beginnings system. These activities may include evening and weekend hours to maximize community engagement.
- Tracking and maintaining detailed data about outreach efforts, including event attendance, potential clients reached, and new networking opportunities.
- Partnering with the Childrens Services Council and other Healthy Beginnings collaborators to deliver a clear, unified message about the services available to families in the community.
- Supporting the Community Outreach Manager by assisting with the translation of marketing materials, presentations, social media content, and other digital and print collateral.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors degree in Human Services (ideal fields include social work, developmental psychology, or early childhood education).
- At least two years of experience in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development, or a related field.
- Bilingual in English and Creole is required.
- Flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend appointments.
- A valid Florida drivers license is required.
