Position Overview:
The Program Director is responsible for the administrative oversight and quality management of residential programming. This position is responsible for overall management of the assigned programs to include managing day to day operations, staffing, fiscal management, implementation of the behavior management system and the provision of a safe and caring therapeutic milieu. Evenings and some weekends are required to successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of assigned residential programs, ensuring therapeutic environments, behavior management systems, and staffing needs are met in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and ensuring compliance with documentation and reporting standards.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage, maintain budget adherence, and coordinate with the Clinical Director to meet program goals and maintain proper staffing ratios.
- Conduct property inspections, manage petty cash, and collaborate with Facilities for maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships, participate in treatment team meetings, and support the integration of independent living services within residential programs.
- Monitor program performance, track critical incidents, and ensure compliance with internal policies, licensing standards, and contractual obligations.
- Assist with funding development, provide staff training, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social services or mental health required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Five (5) years’ experience in child welfare system. Two (2) years supervisory experience in a residential setting.
- A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
- Strong knowledge of adolescent mental health, child welfare services, state/federal laws, and local community resources, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet research.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to work flexible schedules, prioritize tasks, and handle sensitive information professionally.
