Job Description
The Pharmacy Technician provides support to pharmacists and managers in all aspects of providing pharmacy services. The Technician has a history of qualitative consistency and productivity and works with minimal supervision and guidance. The Technician has demonstrated a high level of initiative and motivation and adapts well to new situations. The Technician has demonstrated above average qualitative and quantitative skills, above average knowledge of their work, and above average customer service with all patients. The Technician helps coordinate patient scheduling, quality report submission, and preparation of patients for comprehensive medication review. As a representative of both The Christ Hospital Health Network and Department of Pharmacy Services, promotes a positive image in all dealings with all other employees and patients. The technician will provide services to support a team of clinical pharmacists based in primary care in a partial work from home role.
Responsibilities
Clinical support duties : Review patient lists for quality metric compliance and prepare patient charts for pharmacist intervention, schedule pharmacist referrals, prepare patient charts for comprehensive medication review, other duties as delegated by clinical team
Administrative duties : Follow up on submission of relevant pharmacy paperwork including quality metric exclusion, adherence exemptions, patient assistance paperwork, and other items as delegated by the clinical team
Qualifications
EDUCATION : High school diploma or GED
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE :
A minimum of 2 years of retail experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :
Must have performance appraisals or references documenting the following :
- A work history of qualitative consistency, productivity and appropriate interdependence.
- A work history of initiative, motivation and flexibility.
- A work history of above average quality, quantity and knowledge of work.
- A work history of above average attendance and reliability.
LICENSES REGISTRATIONS & / or CERTIFICATIONS :
Ohio State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration Required
PTCB / CPhT Certification (passed examination or enrolled in training period with intent to pass examination) preferred
