Job Description
The Admissions Counselor assists applicants in navigating the enrollment process from inquiry to orientation. Working with members of the Enrollment Management team, the Admissions Counselor aids in the recruiting applicants, processing the necessary paperwork on an applicant’s file, and routinely meets with and contacts applicants regarding admission into the College. Admissions, recruitment, counseling, outreach and application review are all significant functions of this position.
Responsibilities
Counsels potential applicants on degree offerings of the College.
Processes applications, transcripts, and outstanding admission requirements.
Meets with applicants and their families, conducting tours and answering questions related to the application and enrollment policies and procedures.
Primary liaison between the College and the applicant.
Maintains active communication with each applicant from first contact through course registration/orientation.
Manages information on each applicant via the CRM database and contacts applicants in regards with missing information as necessary.
Reviews and prepares completed admissions files for review by the Admissions Committee.
Assists with preparing routine mailings and correspondence with applicants.
Creates and leads events aimed at engaging applicants and recently admitted students.
Assists the Marketing and Recruitment staff as necessary in recruitment of new applicants through fairs, high school visits, Live Surgery, and other routine outreach efforts.
Supports the Financial Aid Office during peak times as needed.
Provides feedback to Dean and Director on policies and procedures to ensure efficiency.
Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to travel (valid driver’s license required) with ability to load and transport admissions materials, displays and equipment. Some evening and weekend work may be required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking and telephone skills and the ability to represent the College in a positive way to diverse populations.
