Transports Patients to and from scheduled treatment appointments by the use of stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, ambulation.

Transports Patients to and from scheduled treatment appointments by the use of stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, ambulation.
- Assess patient’s ability to transfer to mode of transportation.
- Refers patients perceived to be incapable of transferring without assistance to nurse.
- Reviews handoff report for essential information to care for patient during transport.
- Transportation of patients is carried out in a timely manner according to department guidelines.
- Assists patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds with technical staff and nursing assistance as needed.
- Transport assignments are dispatched electronically.
Observes departmental and hospital safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to :
Unit Responsibility / Accountability
Patient Contact :
Maintains clutter-free environment within the hospital and surrounding areas.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

EDUCATION :
High School Graduate or GED
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE :
1 year of customer service experience preferred.
