Job Description
The Athletic Trainer will work in the physician / provider office; seeing and treating patients as an integral part of the patient care team.
Responsibilities
Treatment
- Assist with the treatment plan in collaboration with the treatment team to include initial evaluation, documentation in the electronic medical record, wound care management and presentation of rehabilitation exercises.
- Instruct patients / families regarding proper utilization and fit of durable medical equipment and casts / splints.
- Communicate daily with physician / provider and document information appropriately.
- Respond promptly to patient communications.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS :

EDUCATION : BA / BS in Sports Medicine or Athletic Training. Master's Degree preferred.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : Entry level, one year experience preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : Knowledge in assessment, recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries in the school setting. Good manual skills; good communication skills.
