First Alliance Church of Lakeland, Florida is excited to start the search process to fill the role of Assistant Pastor of Family and Worship. They are looking for an individual called to minister to the next generation from infants to high schoolers as well as someone who has a heart to lead the worship ministry.
This position has three areas of responsibility: family ministry, worship ministry, and pastoral & administrative responsibilities. This individual will serve as the primary leader for the youth ministry as well as oversee and support the volunteer kids’ ministry leaders. Developing an effective worship ministry including worship teams, tech teams, choir director, etc. will also be an important part of this role. Lastly, this individual will be expected to perform pastoral duties (visitations, preaching, etc.).
This is a full-time position. Individuals interested should have a strong relationship with the Lord and a desire to disciple others into a stronger relationship with the Lord as well. The candidate must hold credentials with The Christian & Missionary Alliance or be willing to work towards acquiring C&MA credentials and be committed to upholding Alliance distinctives.
The city of Lakeland is located in central Florida between Orlando and Tampa. It gets its name from the many lakes located within the city. It is a city consisting of historical parks, neighborhoods, and museums along with several universities including Southeastern University, Florida Polytechnic University and Florida Southern College.
