JOB SUMMARY: To supervise Maintenance and Grounds Technicians and perform
maintenance, service and repairs throughout the Lodge. Oversees the Engineering Department
in the absence of the Chief Engineer and Assistant Chief Engineer.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision and leadership of Maintenance Technicians, maintenance projects and
grounds.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Performs a variety of complicated tasks in maintenance service and repairs in the
areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and electrical
servicing.
Responsible for helping plan and conduct all maintenance work.
Is knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures as required in the
Engineering Department.
Must have experience and be able to demonstrate proficiency with modification to
equipment.
Preventative maintenance on equipment.
Will be required to help with outside building maintenance and preventative
maintenance in units and throughout all buildings.
A valid CO driver’s license is required for tasks that require driving a Bobcat, forklift,
plow truck and other company vehicles.
Always be aware of chemicals being used, proper usages.
Maintain a safe working environment and wears appropriate Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) when using loud powered equipment or machines, chemicals,
cleaning supplies or any other items that require PPE.
Must be able to work independently without supervision and be detail oriented,
interface with guests when necessary and have excellent customer service skills.
Must be able to communicate with radios and communicate/respond effectively with
co-workers and management.

Ability to deal with irate guests in a calm, professional manner.
Must have excellent problem solving skills as it relates to a wide range of maintenance
and equipment issues.
Ability to follow instructions and implement company policies and procedures and
enforce those policies and procedures with maintenance staff. Must be able to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules,
operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to
other employees, vendors and guests.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Fluency in English (verbal, written and reading) is required.
Spanish is preferred, but not required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
o High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience/Knowledge
o Minimum of 3 years of prior experience with resort hotel maintenance is
required. Other related maintenance experience will be considered.
o Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
o Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
o Knowledge of commonly accepted industry practices pertaining to
maintenance, knowledge of project planning, and trouble-shooting ability.
o Knowledge of chemical usage, equipment usage and safety and security
requirements.
Computer Skills
o Operation of office machines such as computers, copier, fax machine, phone
and calculator.
Certifications
o Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) is required.
