Finance employees receive, account for, monitor, and design internal controls to safeguard sacred funds for the Church's religious mission. Individuals are responsible for research and analysis of basic and complex issues surrounding financial systems and their related processes. Will be required to gain understanding of current financial processes and help implement those processes in a new global financial system. Once the new system is implemented, this position will become part of the core group of Subject Matters Experts that will support this system for our financial users.

Responsibilities
- This position will be heavily involved in learning, configuring, and helping to implement the new global finance system being implemented at the Church.
- Helps with analysis and cost/benefit decisions involving new financial systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Manages User Acceptance Testing (UAT), communication plans, training plans and implementations to end users.
- Will also help with the maintenance, upgrades, and support of the current PeopleSoft ERP until it is decommissioned.
- Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, finance, or related field. CPA, CMA, MBA preferred. A best-fit candidate would have a strong background in accounting or finance who also enjoys working with financial systems.
- Must have 6 years of related professional work experience with preference of 4 of those years in financial management or leadership role with responsibilities in business systems development of product and/or project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to negotiate and positively influence people at all levels of the organization.
- Strong, broad finance and technical background required. Ability to think critically and communicate complex business problems, solutions and systems strategies to business owners, stakeholders, and technical partners.
- Solid knowledge of financial standards, local rules/practices. Requires a good understanding of both US and international accounting and privacy principles/laws.
- Experience with global ERP systems, project planning, organizing, communicating, team motivation and delegating skills (working knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle, MS SQL, PowerBI, MS Office preferred).
