Global Workforce Relations Specialist

The purpose of this role is to support Workforce Relations efforts for the organization.

Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle complex issues and problems.

This role reports to Manager, Global Workforce Relations and has frequent partnership with Human Resource department and area leaders and teams, department leaders, COEs, Legal Counsel, and employees.


Responsible for the following activities:
  • Assist with department-level projects
Accountable to deliver the following essential activities to the organization:
  • Workforce Dispute Resolution
o Assist with the management of the global workplace investigation process conducted by others and conduct investigations on escalated issues.
o Counsel with and provide subject matter expertise to HR professionals, managers, and employees globally on workforce issues and concerns.
o Research and respond to employee inquiries, questions, complaints, and misconduct.
  • Annual Workforce Compliance Trainings Administration
o Support workforce relations programs to ensure compliance with local employment requirements and internal policies.
o Provide workforce relations and policy training to HR professionals and managers.
o Assist with administration of annual workforce compliance trainings.
  • Annual Temple Worthiness Review Administration
o Administer the annual temple worthiness process and review escalated worthiness concerns with bishops and stake presidents.
o Manage the annual temple worthiness review verification process.
  • Standards Line Administration, Response, and Support
o Manage the administration, response, and support of the ethics and compliance hotline (Standards Line).
o Investigate allegations of employee/employer misconduct and recommend resolutions.
  • Workforce Complaint Response
  • HR Policy Administration and Support
o Implement and administer human resource policies, programs, and practices.
o Advise HR professionals and managers on HR policy, programs, and performance management counseling.
o Consult on disability accommodation review and administration.
o Assist with HR document records management activities for the department; ensure storage document compliance.
  • Employment legal principles
o Work in partnership with inside and outside legal counsel on response to employment lawsuits and charges from regulatory agencies
  • Paid Leave Questions & Administration
o Administer Employee Leave Share program.
  • Business requirements/technology rollout - compliance/workforce relations
o Provide feedback and implementation support for the development of new programs and processes.

Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 8 years industry-related experience
  • Deep HR operational knowledge
  • Familiarity with best practices of HR functions
  • Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:

  • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in a related field
