Job Description
An HRIS data analyst working on the HR Data and Analytics team who is focused on finding business insights through managing, analyzing and sharing workforce data in a way that empowers and influences key decision-making about business opportunities and business solutions. Works independently to solve complex data analytics and reporting problems and is recognized as a specialist of workforce data and promotes strategies for its use. Collaborates with other HRIS data analysts and specialists, technical specialists and data consumers to ensure data meets the business need and is appropriately protected.
Responsibilities
- Using structured and unstructured data from multiple systems, provide strategic insights to business leaders on data use and interpretation. Contribute to strategic direction for dashboard and report design, data governance, data security, data modeling as well as helping define requirements for data warehousing and machine learning algorithms. Promote continuous improvement and maturing for data literacy, usage and analytics.
- Understand the Data : Defining what the data is, where it is coming from, how it will be captured, and how it will be consumed
- Data Quality Assessment : Validation of data quality including sources, reliability, completeness, validity, and uniqueness
- Organize the Data : Address accessibility, usability, data modeling & structuring, aggregation, field definition & use, statistical validity, data warehouse creation
- Configuring Data for Accessing : Channeling the data to where it is needed, predictive / statistical modeling, query building, data sources, quality assurance
- Reporting : Using business requirements to tell the story, developing dashboards & reports that are actionable and measurable, quality assurance
- Security & User Acceptance : Audience access, viewing including how the data will be received, communications, instruction on data use
- Outcomes / Insights : Data that enables business leaders to make informed decisions
