Job Description
This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, and in compliance with Welfare Services' policies and procedures, the incumbent is responsible to assist in general labor activities to meet the assigned production plan and maintain a safe and sanitary facility. The incumbent's duties may include: packaging line set-up for daily production runs, trouble-shooting and making adjustments to equipment, equipment operation, casing and palletizing, operating lift-trucks, cleaning the facility, completing traceability paperwork, blending and mixing products, and other duties as assigned. Run an entire production line including labor, equipment, and processes.

25%: Maintain food and work safety and sanitation standards of the facility, including FDA regulation compliance
15%: Monitor the quality of the products, packaging, and codes/labels
5%: Trouble-shooting and making adjustments to equipment
5%: Inspect and prepare premises prior to production

Required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, production or similar field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years production experience
- Excellent understanding of food production, including FDA regulation and compliance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Forklift training within six months of hire
- Must be capable of climbing stairs/ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds standing for extended periods, bending over, stooping, work in hot or cold and/or dusty or dirty environments
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- HACCP training certification
- Completion of Better Process Control School
- Food production experience
