The Real Estate Investment Analyst on the Land Team plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and optimization of a dynamic investment portfolio, with a specific focus on land assets. This position involves conducting market research, financial analysis, and data management to evaluate investment opportunities and preserve asset value across a diverse portfolio.
Analysts will collaborate with professionals across multiple functions, including Transactions, Asset Management, Land, Investments, and Finance teams, gaining exposure to institutional strategies, global market participants, and real estate investment trends.
This role requires exceptional analytical, financial, and organizational skills, combined with a passion for real estate and investment strategies.

Responsibilities
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct detailed global and regional market research to track trends in:
- Rental rates, cap rates, and market absorption.
- Transaction activity, construction pipelines, population growth, job growth, and industry concentrations.
- Monitor economic and demographic changes to inform investment decisions and identify emerging market opportunities.
- Analyze investment opportunities using in-depth financial analysis and advanced financial modeling techniques.
- Evaluate acquisition and development projects by assessing key metrics such as IRR, NPV, yield, and risk exposure.
- Prepare pro forma analyses, including sensitivity and scenario modeling.
- Perform financial reviews of assets, including detailed analysis of income statements, expense reports, and cash flow projections.
- Collaborate with Asset Management to develop strategies that maximize asset value and operational efficiency.
- Track and report on capital projects, leasing activities, and asset performance metrics.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality reports and presentations for senior management and investment committees.
- Draft quarterly reporting documents, highlighting key performance indicators and strategic recommendations.
- Develop dashboards and visual summaries to effectively communicate asset performance and market trends.
- Support cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic initiatives across the organization.
- Drive process improvement efforts by adopting and promoting industry best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
- Manage and maintain data in software systems, including Argus and Yardi, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
- Provide detailed project updates and insights to leadership by maintaining organized project files and participating in meetings and conference calls.
- Stay informed about industry developments and trends, leveraging this knowledge to inform decision-making.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support broader team objectives.
- Membership: Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple-worthy.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, real estate, or a related field.
- Experience: Preferred 1 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, investments, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in financial modeling with advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Argus, Yardi, or similar real estate software, with a willingness to obtain certifications as needed.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, market analysis, and accounting principles.
- Analytical Abilities: Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and precision in financial modeling and reporting.
- Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively presenting complex information.

- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with market research platforms such as CoStar, REIS, or LoopNet.
- Knowledge of zoning, entitlement processes, and land development fundamentals.
