RESs assist regional employment managers in providing employment support services to all Church members and job seekers in the region.
RESs set objectives and deliver results to meet operational goals that have a direct impact at a regional level, while providing tactical input into programs and services in support of the organization's business priorities. This role has training responsibilities that requires deep knowledge within its professional discipline.
Regional manager support (70%)
- Work directly with and alongside the Regional Employment Manager to ensure that all employment services within the designated region are being provided effectively, including overseeing the operation of all Church employment centers, all online services, and individualized support and coaching to job seekers
- Assist the regional employment manager in the recruitment, training, and supervision of virtual missionaries and volunteers throughout the region as well as missionaries and volunteers at all employment centers
- Ensure each participant— through training and coaching—has the necessary tools to be successful in their job search
- Assist with trainings for local leaders to raise awareness of employment resources
- Hire, train, and help supervise account representatives within the region Train development counselors and DI staff on employment support policies and procedures
Caseload and resource management (20%)
- Ensure that all DI/DCS associates receive needed personalized coaching and support to achieve job search objectives
- Provide one-on-one coaching and support for DI/DCS associates, in collaboration with local development counselors. Provide employment support expertise and services for individuals, virtually and on-site, up to 30 cases at any given time
- Train, coach, and help supervise volunteer work to support individuals and families who may have barriers to obtaining employment in achieving long-term self-reliance, including assisting with AJS programs, weekly workshops, etc.
- Ensure daily AJS programs and weekly job search skill workshops are available to DI associates, off-site associates, and all job seekers in assigned region—AJS programs include daily accountability, specific training, and setting and follow-up on daily job search goals Ensure accurate time sheets are collected, and progress notes recorded in current case management system
Relationship management (10%)
- Participate in coordination meetings with key stakeholders regularly—e.g. development counselors, agent stake presidents, welfare and self-reliance managers, etc.
- Participate at least monthly in Employment Support strategy meetings with senior leadership
- Conduct monthly meetings with all development counselors in the region to coordinate employment support services for job-ready DI/DCS associates.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven professional experience and outstanding skills in coaching, training, assessment, and leadership
- Must show initiative, creativity, spiritual maturity, resourcefulness, discernment and follow through Strong group presentation, business software applications and other computer skills, specifically video-conferencing—e.g. Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.

- Prior experience in working with individuals who have barriers to employment
- Master's degree
