The Registrar role is designed to facilitate operations in registration, credit, enrollment, and participation within S&I. The primary objective of this role is to assist youth and young adults in deepening their conversion to Jesus Christ and His restored gospel, qualifying for the blessings of the temple, and preparing themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.

Responsibilities
- Work in partnership with associate administrators, research data members, product managers, S&I Administration, area directors, administrative assistants, CES Admissions and Registrars, and other Church departments.
- Work within an annual operating budget.
- Understand and represent target audience and stakeholder needs.
- Proactively identify trends, opportunities, risks, and challenges related to registration, enrollment, retention, reporting and credit requirements. Communicate these effectively to all levels of management.
- Drive policy and process changes related to registration, enrollment, retention, reporting and credit requirements.
- Establish an environment of continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of enrollment, attendance, and participation within approved S&I systems.
- Provide field support for registration, enrollment, transcripts, and diploma questions and issues.
- Subject Matter Expert for Worldwide Institute & Seminary Enrollment (WISE).
- Proactively build and maintain relationships with field personnel, CES partners, and central office leaders via diplomacy and tact.
- Represent S&I on the CES registrar’s committee. Collaborate with CES registrars to improve the CES registration and credit transfer experience.
- Represent S&I on the CES enrollment and outreach committees. Collaborate with CES outreach committee members to help more seminary students enroll in institute, BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, Ensign College, or Pathway and build the vision of education for all youth.
- Represent S&I to connect with and recruit students in the field.
- Participate in central office assignments as required.
- Be aware of S&I system needs and provide suggestions and recommendations for S&I policies and procedures based on data.
- Regularly review and update a professional development plan. Work towards accomplishing those goals and render an account to the associate administrator.
- This position requires travel.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or equivalent
- Ten years of S&I related experience or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of S&I policy, systems, and programs.
- Proficient in the application of the Leadership Pattern and People Management Principles in S&I settings.
- Possess a genuine love for the youth and a desire to mentor and help others progress.
- Expert in human relations and communicating with youth and young adults.
- Understand the principles and practices of Teaching in the Savior's Way.
- Expert in developmental processes and possesses skills necessary to assess, observe, train, provide feedback, and support others.
- Experienced in planning and conducting meaningful conversations.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills—including verbal communication, active listening, body language, openness, negotiation, decision making, and conflict resolution and mediation.
- Expert skills to access and use relevant data, draw conclusions, counsel with others, and make informed decisions to solve problems.
- Advanced skill in observing and providing others meaningful, clear, standards-based feedback related to teaching performance and development.
- Exhibit humility and purposeful collaboration with leaders, colleagues, and peers.
- Advanced ability to build constructive working relationships characterized by an advanced level of integrity, acceptance, cooperation, and mutual respect.
- Detail oriented.
- Proficient in computer applications and electronic records management.
- Proficient in planning and exercising time management on assigned tasks to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Aligned with the direction and policies of the Church Board of Education and S&I leadership.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Suite of tools.
- Must be able to use standard office equipment.
- Must meet the S&I conditions of employment.
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
