The role of the Strategic Relationship Manager 1 (SRM 1) is to serve as an experienced procurement professional actively developing strategic expertise in relationship management. This position is designed to optimize the value resulting from partnerships and effectively oversee relationships between Church organizations and preferred suppliers and vendors

The Strategic Relationship Manager 1 (SRM 1) is a seasoned procurement specialist tasked with overseeing, planning, and executing the management of commodities for the Production Facilities for Welfare & Self-Reliance Services, including food ingredients, packaging materials, and supplier partnerships. This role may involve contributing to complex projects under the guidance and mentorship of a Group Strategic Relationship Manager

Specific Duties Include The Following
- Manage supplier relationships: leverage Church enterprise expenditures to qualify, negotiate, select, and establish legal contracts with vendors of products and services at the best value for the Church.
- Optimize Church enterprise expenditures to assess, negotiate, select, and establish legal agreements with vendors, ensuring the procurement of products and services at the highest value for the Church.
- Monitor and enforce supplier compliance with contractual terms and conditions to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
- Evaluate the requirements of multiple production facilities and implement cost-effective solutions that fulfill the product and service needs of sponsoring organizations. Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and professional associations, leveraging expertise to act as an authority on industry trends and standards.
- Prepare and deliver detailed presentations to leadership on market and product developments, analyzing their impact on the supply chain to inform strategic decision-making.
- Leverage purchasing platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, PeopleSoft, eMarket, and The Church Contract System, to manage requisitions and purchase orders effectively. Maintain and update pricing agreements for frequently procured goods and services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers, internal logistics teams, and production units to facilitate timely delivery and streamline order fulfillment processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Requires seasoned supply-chain knowledge and experience, and experience in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, outsourcing or purchasing.
- Strong interpersonal abilities, with a well-honed capacity to negotiate effectively and address conflicts constructively .
